Trainer's Profile

Kevin is currently teaching English (ESL) to Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary School children at the British Council in Singapore.

Prior to that he lived in Japan for sixteen years and taught English to children, junior, senior high school students and even adults. He also developed in-house English program for his schools. In 1998, he discovered Oxford Reading Tree and has been using it to teach 200 to 300 students a week.

Kevin become the Teacher Trainer and Presenter for Oxford University Press Tokyo Japan in 2002, where he developed educational teacher training workshops and presents at the ETJ and KCT events all over Japan. Besides writing articles for OUP Japan's newsletter, Kevin also produced a teacher training DVD and guide book called "Kevin's Fun Reading of the Oxford Reading Tree".

In 1996 to 2005, when he was the Director of Studies at Everyone Language School Numazu Japan, he developed and taught English programs for Japanese kindergartens there.

In 1990 to 2004, he worked as an Examiner for the United Nations Association of Japan Test of English, where he interviewed and assessed candidates' English speaking ability in accordance with the requirements of the test.
