Mastery Practitioner Training Stage 1 & 2
The Victoria Carlton approach to literacy teaching

28th, 29th, 30th September & 1st October 2010 (9.30am - 5pm)

A thought provoking course and practical seminar for professionals of education, from Nursery to P2 and any staff working with children with learning difficulties. Using Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar approaches to literacy will enable all students to read, spell and write.

The Mastery Practitioner Training course (stage 1 & 2) presented by Victoria Carlton will educate you on the CREAM approach using systematic multi-sensory methods to open the door to better English for all students.

The workshop (stage 1 & 2), also provides you with the opportunity to attend an optional session, a valuable and rewarding practical session at a children's workshop. Participants are invited to complete a written assessment and those successful candidates will be awarded a certificate.

The Mastery Practitioner Training course (stage 1 & 2) will revise all components of Jolly Learning and the use of all interactive programs (CD,DVD, Jolly Songs, Jolly Jingles). In short, this course will teach oral language strategies to underpin literacy development, comprehension strategies for fiction and non-fiction text, increase self-esteem, creating positive teaching environments, motivation for children, individual learning plans, assessment for children, children with learning difficulties, puppetry magic to enhance literacy and games to bring Jolly Learning to life and much much more!

This will equip you to fully understand the impact of EQ on your life, how it impacts you as an educator and how you can raise the EQ of all the children in your care. This 2 day intensive course will teach you about all aspects of emotional intelligence and provide you with a facilitator manual so you can provide workshops for children.
Enrollment in Mastery 3 will also give you a license to use the program for 12 months with full support from Victoria and her staff.

Brain Stimulation Techniques to Accelerate Learning and Brain Compatible Teaching Methods

This course will ensure your children are stimulated and helped to reach their highest potential. You will also be shown how to integrate these exercises into the learning processes and how to provide brain-friendly lessons and learning environment.

This is a very practical, intensive course that shows you how to use games and real literature to improve comprehension, reading speed and fluency and imbue children with a lifelong love of reading. The course takes you through all parts of a child’s “reading journey” and provides you with games and techniques to accelerate the process and ensure deep comprehension occurs. The "All Kids Can Read & Write"children's workshop is based on the highly acclaimed JOLLY PHONICS and JOLLY GRAMMAR programs and includes workbooks, interactive white-board, computer programs and creative hands-on teaching strategies for successful literacy practices. Julia Gabriel Workshop

Alphabet Zoo
Saturday 23rd October 2010, 9.30am - 12.30pm

This is a lively workshop, a journey through the Alphabet Zoo with such delightful characters like, Ellie the Elephant, Kara Koala and Uncle Ultrasaurus. You can have fun with your children and introduce them to the letters of the alphabet and their phonemic sounds. Using the enchanting illustrations of the Alphabet Zoo and sing along CD in this workshop you will bring the alphabet alive for any young child.

The 3-hour workshop (on 23rd October 2010), will be presented by Julia Gabriel who has written and recorded educational television programmes for the Ministry of Education in Singapore.
